Track 1
Track 1 program is designed for freshmen to apply core competencies crucial for college and career success through a lens of curiosity and self-awareness. Delegates will receive training in time management and goal setting while exploring career pathways available within the agriculture and food industry.
Track 2
Track 2 program is designed for sophomores and juniors to explore the interpersonal application of the competencies in teams and organizations. Delegates will analyze the intersection of communication, cultural competence, relationship development and team leadership, as well as communicating personal values and strengths.
Track 3
Track 3 program prepares junior and seniors to live and work in a global market through practicing group collaboration while participating in discussions focused on global leadership and systems. Delegates will grow in personal financial management, cultural understanding and their transition to the workplace.
Track 4
Track 4 program is a unique capstone experience for seniors who have been involved in multiple Tracks of the AFA program. Building upon previous tracks, Track 4 is a highly interactive, participant-directed program that culminates growth across core competencies and sets forth a plan for early career success. Discussion groups and participant-led facilitation add value to this experience.
Campus Champion
AFA Campus Champions play a vital role in connecting students on campus with AFA. This year, join us for a dedicated networking session with our Board of Directors, a Campus Champions-only discussion, and an AFA update. You’ll connect with nearly 500 industry professionals and share best practices with peers nationwide. As a registered Campus Champion, you can also observe delegate sessions.
